We will provide 4 hours of live operator for our Silver Package and 8 hours of live operator for our Gold Package.
Do
I need to be a programmer to use XcessChat?
No.
You can run XcessChat without ever looking at the code. It is a plug
and play application. After installation you will be able to maintain
the software via the operator area.
Can
we modify the source code?
Yes.
If you feel comfortable doing so you may alter the source code to suit
your needs. Please read the license agreement for more specific
information regarding altering the code. Note that the source code is
98% open source.
What
do I need to run XcessChat?
You
will need a web server or hosting account that is PHP and MySQL
enabled. Check with your hosting company for more information.
Is
it difficult to install?
XcessChat
does include a web based installer but you will need to have some
technical understanding to complete the installation process. You will
need to set up a database for the cart to use, FTP the files and be
able to set permissions correctly to run the installer. If you are
uncomfortable installing the cart on your server, we do offer a
installation service.
Where
can I get updates in the future?
When
you make your purchase you will gain access to our client area where
you will be able to download products and updates in the future.
Can
I customize the software to look like my current site?
Sure.
You can easily change the templates yourself to look like your current
site. If you feel this may be too much for you, we will be happy to
give you a quote to do it for you.
